Your Algonquin Park VIP private canoe half day trip follows in the foot steps of one of Canada's greatest painters, Tom Thomson.

Our motorized canoe takes up to four passengers (460lbs/210kg max.) on an unforgettable guided exploration of the Algonquin Park interior.

The 3 hour adventure is split 80% motor and 20% paddling. This tour is perfect for those who want to relax or have their hands completely free for photography, sketching or fishing. Your adventure includes effortless travel across Canoe Lake, a visit to Tom Thomson's cairn & local ruins, a scenic picnic (Henrietta's meat or veggie sandwich & granola bar), hunting beautiful scenery reflections while paddling down a meandering stream system and a chance to cool off at a secluded swimming hole.

All ages and fitness levels are welcome - we've had participants between 8 months and 82 years old on this adventure. All VIP tours are guided by Algonquin Adventure Tours founder, Stuart Lorne Letovsky. For anyone seeking a non-motorized VIP canoeing experience (just like it's 1893, the year Algonquin Park was founded), Stuart can also take up to two adults (1 paddles & 1 relaxes) in his traditional Langford cedar wood canoe.

Price: $299 + 13% tax per canoe (210kg max. - usually 2 passengers; 3rd passenger is possible, with slightly reduced view, if within weight. 12 & under 3rd passenger is no charge. Adult 3rd passenger is $49 extra.). Two motorized canoes are available for hire.

Algonquin Park 3, 4 & 5 Day Canoe Trips
DAY 1: Arrive at our Algonquin Park access point around 12:00 pm for a lunch of Montreal (our hometown) smoked meat (or vegetarian alternative) sandwiches with fresh fruit. After some basic instruction in canoeing technique and safety, we will paddle about 12km (3-5 hours of solid paddling) to a secluded wilderness campsite. Routes may include portages and crossing beaver dams. We will make camp, take a refreshing swim, and prepare a feast of fresh salad, honey/garlic/sesame steak, fresh vegetables and whole grain spaghetti. All days end with fireside (if there is no fire ban) laughs, roasted marshmallows and hot chocolate/tea.

DAY 2: This is a paradise day. Swim, paddle, read in your hammock, hike, take photographs for National Geographic submission or just relax to the sound of loon calls. Your guide can show you the best places to try and see moose, beaver and otter. Meals include ham and cheese eggs with home fries, bacon and fresh fruit for breakfast, all natural hot-dogs and maple baked beans for lunch, and teriyaki/sesame chicken and vegetable stir fry over Japanese brown rice for dinner.

DAY 3: After a hearty breakfast of pancakes with pure maple syrup and fresh fruit, five day trips will paddle and portage about 8km to our second destination. Along the way, lunch of PB&J sandwiches on artisanal muesli bread will be served. Relax or play in the afternoon. Dinner will be Salmon, tri-color pasta and vegetables. Four day trips spend another day lounging and exploring paradise from the same base location.

Three days trips return back to original access point around 2pm..

DAY 4: This is another paradise day to enjoy. Meals include traditional native bannock with honey and fresh fruit for breakfast, Tuna macaroni and cheese for lunch, and Chicken, mixed grains and Madras Lentils with tomato sauce for dinner.

Four day trips return back to original access point after lunch (between 2-4pm).

DAY 5: We will set out early to ensure maximum potential for moose viewing. The final leg of our 5 day circuit has 500-1000m of portage depending on water levels. Meals on this day include oatmeal with fresh fruit for breakfast and lasagna or beef stew for lunch. We will return to original access point after lunch.

Please note that menu items and canoe trip routes are subject to change. Vegetarians and non-pork eaters can be accommodated.

Looking forward to helping you make your Canadian Alqonquin Adventure a reality!!
In Ontario for 15 days I wanted to see a maximum of the nature, the big spaces, and the colors of the autumn. I thus have to opt for a trip of 3 days canoe with Algonquin Adventure Seeker Tours, a compagny I found on the net.
I wasnt disappointed : Stuart and Alec perfectly welcomed me, allying conviviality, professionalism, listening and adaptation.
With the good weather and the marvelous colors of the autumn I would not have been able to dream better!"
